Animation Specialist

DEPARTMENT:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Animation Specialist will use industry standard applications and technology to create animated training videos and other forms of media that support company initiatives, as well as educate teammates on state and federal laws and regulations. This position reports to the Manager Digital eLearning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Manager Digital eLearning and Subject Matter Experts to conceptualize animations for training
• Create storyboards for each project to be approved by the Manager Digital eLearning 
• Develop character designs, backgrounds, and other visual elements that align with company objectives and branding
• Create high quality animated content that aligns with company objectives as well as state and federal laws and regulations, make adjustments as needed in a timely manner
• Adhere to strict project deadlines
• Must have the capability to start from a “white space” by understanding the training objectives and align with those objectives, create them based on the outcome desired, and then create the proper training methodology to deliver the expected outcomes
• Must be an advanced and skilled listener to understand the needs of the business and consult the business on the ideal method(s) to create content 
• Effectively representing the company in a professional manner with all levels of individuals both within and outside of the company
• The Animation Specialist is an individual contributor position but will need to work well in a team environment. In addition, the Animation Specialist must be a continual learner with a willingness to achieve personal education, certification, and ongoing self-learning opportunities. Must stay up to date with current industry trends and technologies and apply them to their job
• Willingness and ability to work non-traditional working hours and shifts, inclusive of weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Any other duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Associate’s degree in business administration, communications, animation, or other relevant field of study, preferred
• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of animation work, preferred
• Two (2) plus years of creating animated content in a professional environment, preferred
• Two (2) plus years of retail, marketing, research, or other business-related experience, preferred
• Excellent communication skills, written, and oral
• Able to receive and maintain confidential information
• Proficiency in the following systems: Microsoft Office, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Animate, and various other animation software’s preferred and, in some cases, required
