JOB SUMMARY:

The position of Specialist Change Management is a critical position on the change management team. This role provides support in managing organizational change initiatives, helping to reduce disruption, and enhance employee engagement and adoption. This role focuses on the "people side" of organizational transitions such as new technology rollouts, process updates, cultural changes, and understanding how the project and changes impact our teammates.

This role requires experience in training, developing learning objectives, possessing strong professional judgment, and the ability to challenge decisions that may negatively impact project objectives. In addition to judgment, have the courage to “speak-up,” when the “status quo” or decisions should be challenged.

The specialist must be skilled in documenting processes, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be capable of working effectively in both team-based and independent environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the leadership and guidance of the Director leading the Change Management Team, apply and execute a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Assist with conducting change impact assessments, risk analyses, and readiness assessments to understand how changes affect employees and the organization
  • Responsible for assisting with the execution of change management strategies and identifying potential risks and resistance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address challenges to change and develop solutions
  • Help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives through the project, making adjustments as needed to ensure desired outcomes are achieved
  • Assist with developing and implementing plans to help manage change through the transition of current state to future
  • Assist with instruction and advising the Training Team on training needs and achieve alignment with both the project team and the training team on the optimal training approaches
  • Develop and deliver targeted messaging to inform stakeholders, creating communication plans that foster understanding and reduce resistance
  • Assist in developing training materials, strategies, and plans to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to embrace change
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting change readiness and agility across the organization
  • Facilitate meetings, focus groups, and workshops to gather feedback and support the change
  • Assist with documenting, tracking, and report on change management tasks, metrics, and project outcomes
  • Assist in facilitating organizational design meetings
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in change management and/or project management
  • Five (5) combined years of training, employee relations, or continuous improvement experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to solve issues
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and prioritize simultaneously to help accomplish department goals and assignments
  • Emotional Intelligence - high empathy and ability to navigate resistance and manage employee emotions
  • Ability to receive and maintain confidential information
