Director Business Intelligence

JOB SUMMARY:

WORK LOCATION: ON-SITE [SAN BERNARDINO, CA]

Oversee the operations and strategy of the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (COE). Responsible for aligning analytics initiatives with business objectives, fostering data-driven decision making, and enabling self-service analytics. Leads a team of data analysts, data relationship managers, and data literacy specialists to deliver BI solutions to the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute the roadmap for enterprise BI and data literacy capabilities
• Build partnerships with business leaders to identify opportunities to apply data and analytics to strategic goals
• Work with business departments to generate potential business intelligence initiatives that align to business objectives
• Establish and/or influence policies, standards, and best practices for data analysis, modeling, quality, and governance
• Foster adoption of insights and self-service capabilities through training and change management
• Evangelize the value of data, analytics, and fact-based decisions across the organization
• Responsible for meaningful quantitative or qualitative analysis addressing impactful business issues or questions
• Oversees investigation and exploration of data for new insights to business opportunities and challenges
• Oversees planning of projects to produce reports and data-driven insights
• Oversee ideation, requirements gathering, and delivery of BI applications and data products
• Manage program budgets and resources and evaluate technology options
• Anticipates consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ten (10) plus years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, and analytics and leadership roles
• Expert knowledge of data analysis, business metrics, BI and reporting tools
• Strong project management, presentation, and communication skills
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Passion for data, analytics, and driving business value through insights
• Data Management Professional or other data certifications preferred
