DEPARTMENT:

Fleet Maintenance

JOB SUMMARY:

Service and/or repair Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs).  Included but not limited to maintaining, repairing and/or replacing TRU engines, compressors, belts, filters, fuel tanks and all items related to the unit.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnosis, repair and maintenance of TRUs (Transport Refrigeration Units) Carrier and Thermo King units.
  • Evacuating / charging freon
  • Decision making and problem solving required
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company
  • Must be able to work night shifts and weekends
  • Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Must have a valid California Driver License with clear record
  • Minimum four (4) years’ work experience and/or classroom related training
  • Must furnish basic hand tools and roll-away toolbox
  • Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug test
